The Art of the Road Trip

After using my GoPro Hero 4 Silver Edition for about a month, I’ve discovered three noticeable flaws: poor audio quality, the inability to zoom and the overwhelming desire it gives me to record everything and anything that steps in front of my camera, even when I otherwise would not consider capturing it.

The latter is how I managed to rack up almost 32 GB of video from my Florida trip earlier this month. No, you don’t need to remind me of how excessive this is, and yes, I’m quite aware that this is most definitely an indicator of an issue of my own, rather than the camera.

But c’mon! How could I resist the glorious mountains coupled with a sunset or two, all viewed through a wide-angled lens?! That is practically like asking me to bake a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and then stare at it for hours on end without taking a single bite– aka, impossible.

So do me a favor and check out the video I edited of our road trip through Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia– I need to justify my decision to clog up 10+ GB of my hard drive with the clips.

Stay tuned for the upcoming video chronicling my Floridian adventures… You don’t even want to know how many hours of footage I accumulated for that!
